15 Best Things To Do in Waco, Texas

Picture of Waco, Texas

About Waco

Waco, despite being an average-sized city, has a surprisingly large number of things to offer, owing to its closeness to the Brazos River. Along with its beautiful natural attractions, the city also has a rich literary scene.

A representation of that is the Armstrong Browning Library, where you can find exhibits and collections from the literary couple; Elizabeth and Robert Browning.

Visitors can also see the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat, which is home to Baylor University’s mascots, Lady and Joy, who are two bears that arrived at the university when they were only four months old. But if you want to see more regional animals, head over to the 50-acre Cameron Park Zoo, which has over 300 species, including Sumatran tigers and kangaroos.
