Matadero Madrid is a contemporary arts and culture center housed in the city’s former municipal slaughterhouse, an early-20th-century industrial complex in the Arganzuela district.
Its repurposed warehouses now host exhibitions, film screenings, design studios, and performances, drawing both art professionals and casual visitors to a free, walkable riverside campus.
Matadero Madrid is open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, with box office hours Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30 to 8:30 PM. Entry to the grounds is free; individual events may require tickets.
