Brooklyn Bridge Park is a waterfront park stretching along the East River in Brooklyn, offering skyline views of Lower Manhattan, several piers with lawns and sports courts, a carousel, and a playground, all built on former industrial shipping terminals.
The park itself is open daily from 6am to 1am and free to enter, though individual facilities keep their own hours — Pier 5 and the volleyball courts run 6am to 11pm, Pier 2 operates seasonally until 11pm, and playgrounds close at sunset.
It runs beneath the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges between Atlantic Avenue and Jay Street, making it an easy add-on to a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.
