For deck seating at sunset hours, reserve dinner or arrive before the tour-group rush. The Riverboat Discovery dock and Pioneer Park are a few minutes away by car. The University of Alaska Museum of the North sits about ten minutes north. Renting a car gives you the most flexibility for day trips to Chena Hot Springs.
