Ocean Park Hong Kong is a marine-life theme park and oceanarium on the south side of Hong Kong Island, combining aquariums, animal exhibits, and thrill rides across a hillside site connected by cable car and funicular. It is one of the territory’s most visited attractions and a longstanding rival to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Highlights include a giant panda exhibit, an aquarium with a shark tank and jellyfish displays, and rides ranging from family-friendly to high-thrill roller coasters with ocean views. The park’s former North Pole Encounter exhibit has closed to the public while it is redeveloped into a new marine mammal conservation centre, with a reopening targeted for early 2027.
Ocean Park is typically closed on select Tuesdays for maintenance, so it’s worth checking the park’s calendar before visiting.
