LANDMARK is Hong Kong’s flagship luxury shopping address, a Hongkong Land complex on Queen’s Road Central that links the Landmark Atrium, Alexandra, Chater and Prince’s buildings into one climate-controlled circuit of high fashion, fine jewellery and polished dining in the heart of Central.
The multi-storey atrium is the main draw. Its open, light-filled central space regularly hosts seasonal installations and brand pop-ups. Maisons such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior and Hermès anchor the retail mix, and watch and jewellery boutiques fill the surrounding galleries. Upstairs, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental houses Amber, the Michelin-starred restaurant known for contemporary French cooking. More casual cafés and international chains handle quick lunches for the office crowd. The mood is quiet and expensive: concierge-style service, hushed corridors and a steady flow of bankers between meetings.
Visitor Highlights & Practical Info
Weekday mornings after the shops open, usually around 10:30am, are the calmest time to browse. Avoid the 12:30–2pm lunch rush, when Central’s workforce floods the food outlets. Weekends and the Christmas and Lunar New Year periods bring the heaviest crowds, along with the most elaborate atrium displays. Book Amber and other top restaurants weeks ahead. Popular boutiques may operate waiting lists for limited pieces, so call ahead. Central MTR station connects directly via underground passages, and elevated walkways lead to Statue Square, IFC Mall and the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator, so you can cover the district without stepping into the rain or summer heat.
