Lexington Children’s Museum is a hands-on play-and-learn space at 440 W Short St in downtown Lexington. Families come for interactive art and science exhibits built around one idea: children learn through play, and adults are invited to play again (Lexington Children’s Museum).
Inside, kids move between exhibits that ask them to touch, build and pretend. Visitor favorites include the bubble room and a courtroom set where children act out trials and swap roles as judge, lawyer or witness (Wheree). Art stations and science activities make the museum a common stop for educators, who can book field trips that include enrichment programs. The museum also runs camps, and registration for the 2026 school-year camps is open now.
