Parc de Bercy is a 14-hectare park along the Seine in eastern Paris, built on the site of the city’s former wine warehouses and opened in phases between 1994 and 1995.
The park is divided into three connected gardens – the Grandes Prairies, the Parterres, and the Jardin Romantique – linked by footbridges, and contains more than 200 century-old trees, ponds, a maze, and a vegetable garden. A terrace overlooks the Seine, and remnants of the old Bercy wine warehouses, dating to the reign of Louis XIV, are preserved throughout the grounds.
It’s one of Paris’s ten largest parks and a quieter alternative to the city’s more central green spaces.
