Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic royal chapel on the Île de la Cité in Paris, celebrated for its upper chapel’s soaring stained-glass windows, which together tell more than a thousand biblical scenes and were built to house relics collected by King Louis IX.
It’s open daily from 9am to 7pm from April 1 through September 30, and from 9am to 5pm the rest of the year, with closures on January 1, May 1, and December 25.
The chapel sits within the Palais de la Cité complex, making it easy to pair with a visit to the neighboring Conciergerie.
