Miracle on Mercer is the downtown Jersey City outpost of Miracle, the Christmas-themed cocktail pop-up, set inside Franklin Social at 292 Barrow Street. Most of the year, Franklin Social runs as a tavern-style American bar with a seasonal menu and a solid craft draft list. Each holiday season, it becomes a kitschy, ornament-heavy bar that draws locals, cocktail fans, and date-night couples.
During the Miracle run, the room fills with tinsel, string lights, and vintage holiday decor. Cocktails come in novelty glassware, including Santa mugs and reindeer tumblers. The menu changes each year, but past editions included drinks like the Christmapolitan, the Snowball Old Fashioned, and a spiced eggnog. Outside the pop-up window, Franklin Social returns to its regular setup of a rotating seasonal menu, draft beer, and a lively neighborhood bar crowd. It also hosts private events.
Visitor Highlights & Practical Info
Miracle usually runs from mid-to-late November through December. Dates, hours, and private-party closures change every year, so check the official Miracle 2026 locations page and the venue’s Facebook page before you go. Weekend evenings in December bring long lines. For shorter waits, arrive early on a weekday or reserve through Miracle’s booking page when reservations are offered. The bar is a short walk from Grove Street PATH station, which connects to Manhattan in minutes. The surrounding Newark Avenue strip has plenty of dinner options before or after a round.
