The National Museum sits at the head of Wenceslas Square in Prague’s New Town and is the largest museum in Czechia, holding natural history and Czech historical collections. Its landmark Historical Building was fully renovated and reopened in October 2018.
An underground corridor now connects the Historical Building to the New Building, home to a multimedia exhibition. Visitors can also take a lift up to the museum’s cupola for panoramic views over central Prague.
The museum is reached via Metro line A or C at the Muzeum stop, about a 15-minute walk from Old Town Square. E-tickets can be bought online and are valid for a single entry within 30 days of purchase.
