Masterworks by Caravaggio, Bernini, and Raphael fill the gallery’s rooms, making it one of Rome’s most sought-after museum tickets.
Entry to the park grounds is always free, but the Galleria Borghese requires an advance reservation and admits visitors in timed two-hour slots — 9 to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1 to 3 p.m., 3 to 5 p.m., and 5 to 7 p.m. — with a cap of 360 people per slot, so tickets should be booked well ahead, especially in peak season.
Beyond the gallery, the park has a playground, formal gardens, and enough scattered attractions that a full day of exploring is easy to justify. Most visitors spend around two hours in the park itself, though pairing it with the gallery and other Villa Borghese museums can stretch a visit to four or five hours.
