The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is Argentina’s national fine arts museum, holding the largest public art collection in Latin America with more than 12,000 pieces.
Its European collection includes works by El Greco, Goya, Rembrandt, Rubens, Renoir, Degas, and Picasso, while its Argentine holdings feature painters such as Candido Lopez, Xul Solar, and Antonio Berni. The museum also houses a photography room, pre-Columbian art, and two sculpture terraces.
Housed in a former water pump station in the Recoleta neighborhood since 1933, the museum offers free admission to all visitors.
