Parque del Oeste is a large public park in western Madrid known for the Rosaleda rose garden, the Temple of Debod (an Egyptian temple gifted to Spain), and sweeping views over the Manzanares valley. It’s a favorite spot for both locals and tourists to relax away from the city center.
The park is generally open from around 10am to 9pm, though as with most Madrid green spaces, gates loosely follow sunrise-to-sunset hours that shift with the seasons. Entry is completely free, and the park includes playgrounds, sports courts, and a designated dog park area.
The Rosaleda hosts an annual international rose competition each spring, drawing crowds when the roses are in bloom. The park is well served by Metro lines 2, 3, and 10 at Plaza de Espana, and lines 3 and 6 at Moncloa.
