The Warsaw Rising Museum opened on 31 July 2004, the 60th anniversary of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, and commemorates the largest underground combat operation of German-occupied Europe during World War II. It sits in the Wola district, reachable via the Rondo Daszynskiego stop.
The interactive exhibition is spread across multiple levels connected by lifts, and includes a cafe modeled on a wartime Warsaw coffeehouse plus a seasonal courtyard cafe. An English audio guide is available via smartphone using QR codes provided at entry.
Admission is free on Thursdays. Guided tours can be arranged at the ticket office or by emailing ahead, and a gift shop sells books and souvenirs near the exit.
