The Pinacoteca di Brera is one of Italy’s foremost art museums, housing Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces including Raphael’s “Marriage of the Virgin” and Caravaggio’s “Supper at Emmaus.”
Located inside the historic Palazzo di Brera in central Milan, the gallery’s collection spans centuries of Italian painting, gathered largely from churches and convents suppressed under Napoleonic rule.
Pinacoteca di Brera is open Tuesday through Sunday, 8:30 AM to 7:15 PM, with last entry at 6 PM; it is closed Mondays. Admission is free on the first Sunday of each month with a reservation.
